Acetaia Malpighi is a family business that began producing Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena in 1850, when Pietro Malpighi, great-great-grandfather of the current owner Massimo, passed on to his son Augusto the precious recipe for producing true and genuine 'natural vinegar'. That precious legacy has been passed from hand to hand for five generations, all united by passion and respect for a strong tradition. Pietro Malpighi and his heirs are among the founders of the Consortium for the Protection of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena DOP. Today, the Malpighi company keeps more than 3,000 barrels where the real Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena DOP rests and slowly matures. Malpighi also produces great Balsamic Vinegar of Modena IGP. Today, the Acetaia Malpighi brand is recognised globally as a brand of Made in Italy luxury craftsmanship.
