Gran cru and Affiorato Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Affiorato Extra Virgin Olive Oil is obtained using the centuries-old method of hand-skimming the small quantity (2-3%) of olive oil that naturally rises to the surface of the olive paste after milling but before undergoing cold-pressing and centrifugal separation. Being subjected only to crushing and no other production process, Affiorato extra virgin olive oil has fullbodied look and a perfect balance of taste and fragrance.
The name Gran Cru, is usually given to high quality extra virgin olive oils, which represent the highest expression of the olive grove they come from. Because of theuir uniqueness they are usually produced in limited pieces.
